About Me
MY ART
I primarily use micron pens, which allow both precision and spontaneity. My inspiration comes from comic art, psychedelic art, commercial art, scientific art; the woodblocks of Japan, the sculptures of the Olmecs, the architecture of France, and spending too long on the internet.
While pen and paper serve me well, I also paint, exploring ink and oils. I work digitally, both in service to and apart from my drawings. I make books, both from found and from hand-patterned paper. I experiment with pyrography, origami, and ceramics. I am usually carrying my camera.
BACKGROUND
I have a BFA in Art Conservation. As an art conservator, I will be preserving visual culture for generations of students. Simultaneously, I will continue to build my skills as an artist.
